As a kinship carer, you play a vital role in providing love, stability and support to children within your family and friendship networks. We recognise the commitment, challenges and rewards that come with caring for a child in this way, and we want to ensure that the support available locally reflects the needs and experiences of all kinship families.

To support this, we are developing a Local Kinship Offer, which will set out the information, services and support available to kinship families and the children you care for. To make sure this offer is meaningful, effective and responsive, it is essential that it is informed by the people who know kinship care best, namely you as kinship carers.

This survey is an opportunity for you to tell us about your experiences, what is working well, the challenges you have faced, and what additional support you believe would make a positive difference. Your feedback will help us identify priorities for improvement and ensure that Wolverhampton’s Local Kinship Offer reflects the needs of kinship families.

The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses will be treated confidentially and used to help shape future services, information and support for kinship carers.
