Suicide Awareness and Support Training | 3rd November 2026

Delivered by: The Violet Project

Audience: Adults and Children’s workforce

Join this focused half-day training session designed to equip you with practical tools and  lifesaving skills to start honest conversations, and take confident action when it matters most.

The more we all know, the fewer lives we lose because sometimes it’s not the asking that makes people nervous – it’s the fear of hearing “yes”.

Here’s what you’ll take away :

  • An understanding about why it’s important to talk about suicide

  • An awareness of the true scale and impact of suicide and an understanding of the reality behind the statistics and why these matters to every person and community

  • Practical tools to breakdown the barriers of fear and stigma, and silence around suicide

  • Skills to recognise the warning signs that may indicate someone is having thoughts of suicide and recognise the hidden signs and subtle messages that too often get missed because catching these moments early can be the difference between life and death.

  • An understanding of the language and the challenges when talking openly about suicide and how to respond if someone says they are struggling

  • The skills to help develop and support personalised safety plans for individuals at risk.
