Target audience: Children’s workforce and Safeguarding leads.

Aims and objectives:

• Identify the key changes in ‘Working together to safeguard children 2023’.
• Recognise and know how to respond appropriately to a range of emerging/current issues.
• Consider the changes in ‘Information sharing advice for safeguarding practitioners’ guidance.
• Discuss Lessons Learned through statutory reviews.
• Be aware of additional safeguarding training that is available.
• Revisit when to use Wolverhampton’s Escalation Policy.
• Have an overview of the current safeguarding landscape of Wolverhampton.

You must have completed Safeguarding Lead training parts 1, 2 and 3 to be able to attend this update.  This update should then be repeated every two years.
