Safeguarding Leads 2 yearly update | 12th November 2026
Target audience: Children’s workforce and Safeguarding leads.
Aims and objectives:
- Identify the key changes in ‘Working together to safeguard children 2023’.
- Recognise and know how to respond appropriately to a range of emerging/current issues.
- Consider the changes in ‘Information sharing advice for safeguarding practitioners’ guidance.
- Discuss Lessons Learned through statutory reviews.
- Be aware of additional safeguarding training that is available.
- Revisit when to use Wolverhampton’s Escalation Policy.
- Have an overview of the current safeguarding landscape of Wolverhampton.
You must have completed Safeguarding Lead training parts 1, 2 and 3 to be able to attend this update. This update should then be repeated every two years.
